Israel is America’s closest ally in the Middle East. To help Israel maintain a strong military, the United States provides it with security assistance as part of the overall foreign aid bill and the defense appropriations bill. This vital aid, most of which Israel spends in the United States, is the most tangible expression of American support for the Jewish state.

House and Senate:
- Will you support the annual fiscal year 2016 foreign aid bill including $3.1 billion in military assistance for Israel?
- [For Appropriations Committee/Armed Services Members:] Will you support continued security assistance comparable to FY’2015 to Israel’s David’s Sling and Arrow missile defense programs for long and medium-ranged rockets ($260 million), and Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system?
